The Holistic Root essential oil line was formulated by Clinical Aromatherapist Maria Tabone.   Many essential oil blends and fragrances on the market contain chemicals such as dyes, solvents, parabens, phthalates and preservatives. Not only are many of these ingredients hazardous to our health, they also act as endocrine and hormone disrupters.  All of our essential oil blends are made with 100% pure essential oils, and most are organic.   In addition, being that essential oils are extremely healing, they all have therapeutic properties. All blends are 100% chemical free.  They are therapeutic, good for your health, and they all smell great - what more could you ask for!

Hypothyroid Help

Hypothyroid Help

Ingredients: essential oil of organic myrrh (Commiphora myrrha), frankincense CO2 (Boswellia sacra), organic lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus),  organic peppermint (Mentha piperita), organic clove (Syzygium aromaticum), organic coconut oil (Cocos nucifera)

Clove, myrrh and peppermint are stimulating which can help jump start a sluggish thyroid. Frankincense is used in Ayurveda to help stimulate a sluggish thyroid and some have also said it can lower autoimmune antibodies for people with autoimmune thyroid problems.  Lemongrass is anti-inflammatory which may help if you have inflammation of the thyroid or a goiter. It is uplifting and stimulating but can also help reduce the fatigue that accompanies hypothyroidism. According to Ayurveda, coconut oil is very nourishing for the thyroid when ingested.  When applied topically it penetrates the skin.
