Maria Tabone is a Holistic Nutritionist, Functional Nutrition Coach, Certified Ayurveda Practitioner, Certified Holistic Health Coach & Nutrition Educator, Clinical Aromatherapist, Registered Yoga Teacher, Healing Foods Chef and Author. She has spent over 20 years studying alternative medicine and the mind/body/spirit connection. She has a Master of Arts degree in Integrative Health and Healing from the Graduate Institute, a Master of Science degree in Health & Nutrition Education, a certification in Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell University, as well as certifications in various healing practices such as Herbalism, Reflexology, Reiki and Chakra Balancing. She has studied at the Institute of Culinary Education, the Natural Gourmet Institute. Maria’s first book is entitled “The Holistic Root to Managing Anxiety.”
Maria specializes in nutrition and wellness consulting for conditions such as anxiety, autoimmune disease, metabolic syndrome, thyroid disease and weight management with a focus on women with autoimmune disease. She herself has Hashimoto’s thyroid disease and helps clients manage the disease through diet and lifestyle.
Maria currently offices in Maplewood, NJ and New York City. She is a faculty member at Ayurveda’s World in New York City where she teaches regularly. Maria has written articles for various blogs and magazines and participates on panels on wellness around the tri-state area of New York City. She is also a member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, the Ayurvedic Institute, the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, the American Herbalists Guild, the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy and the Alliance of International Aromatherapists. She is located in Summit NJ.
