Going Buggy

Ingredients: a blend of essential oils of organic lemon tea tree (Leptospermun petersonii), organic eucalyptus lemon (Eucalyptus citriodora), organic atlas cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica), organic patchouli sumantra (Pogostemon patchouli), peppermint (Mentha piperita) organic lavender hydrosol Lavandula angustifolia

This blend is so effective for keeping away those pesty critters and it smells so much better and is safer than the bug sprays we all used as kids. The most common bug repellent on the market contains a chemical called DEET.  Over the years more research has emerged exposing the toxic effects of deet.  Reports have shown that deet can cause mild to severe skin irritation and with long term use even mood changes.  Insects do not like the smell of any of these oils so together it’s a powerhouse.  Lemon Tea Tree is considered one of the best natural mosquito repellents.  In addition to repelling bugs, it is antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties along with the germicide and astringent properties of lemon oil.  Lemon eucalyptus is also a great bug repellant.  In addition it is antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, fungicidal and is also a calmative, expectorant, and insecticide. Cedarwood not only smells great but it is an insecticide, antifungal and antiseptic.
