Nowadays, everyone seems to be an expert on how to live your life. There is a lot of information out there, so you need to find what works for you.  It’s all about change, starting with us taking the steps and following through. Studies show that telling someone what to do doesn’t work unless they are ready to change, even if the advice comes from a well-trained expert.

As an Integrative Health & Well-being coach, I encourage and support the behavioral change my client is seeking.  It’s easy to give a list of instructions. The challenge is to stay accountable and implement lasting changes.  We've all had those moments where we're pumped up to make a change, but it just doesn't happen how we hoped. Maybe a new health concern arose that you want to pay particular attention to. Health coaching effectively motivates and supports health behavior change through a structured partnership between the client and the coach. Think of a health coach as a "personal trainer" for your overall well-being. The coach helps clients realize their optimal health vision through inquiry, personal discovery, and accountability.

Why is it effective in helping people realize their optimal health?

•  Coaches work with the whole person. We listen to your concerns and ask powerful questions to help motivate you to make changes.

•  Coaches guide you through a process to maximize the possibility of your success.

•  You and your coach work in partnership to identify obstacles to change and create strategies for moving forward toward your goals.

•  Coaches support you in tracking your weekly progress and hold you accountable for your commitments.

•  Coaches provide additional resources for making healthy behavior changes.

What are appropriate topics for health coaching?

Any topic you want to bring up that you think will contribute to your optimal health is an appropriate topic for Health and Well-Being Coaching. The coaching relationship is unique. The coach and the client form a partnership to equip you better to realize your optimal health vision based on your goals and values. Any concern that gets in the way of taking care of your optimal health is the perfect subject to begin a coaching relationship.
